Dear reader, you may not know this but our team is not only highly experienced with video production and editing but also have sales, advertising and marketing backgrounds. “As a young salesperson, I was lucky to have received some of the most valuable training imaginable that would transform not only my professional life but my personal life as well. This was sales training in one of the most difficult industries known to man- digital duplicators, aka those giant beasts at kinkos, the copiers. I never thought of myself as a salesperson, I was a shy kid often losing myself in daydreams…an artist and musician not someone who could think fast on his feet and pitch a boardroom full of execs….but then I saw all of the zeros on an friend’s commission check and decided I could give it a shot. I was surprised at what I had learned from my trainers. “Telling isn’t selling” and phrases like this were ingrained in my mind and I was pushed out the door to cold call day in and day out. I learned quickly that my trainers were accurate. No one likes to be “sold” and “selling” as most people view it, was not something I could pull off no matter how many zeros there were on my checks. I was still the quiet unassuming guy who you would barely notice walking into your office (every office in The San Francisco Peninsula mind you) I would not sell, I would tell a story to a friend. This is the point that I am trying to make. If I ever tried to push, people would push back. If I told a story (which included a happy ending involving whatever it was I was going to sell that day) I would captivate my audience and my pitch flew under their radar AND I made a new friend….even enabled this shy-guy to convince the prettiest girl west of the Mississippi to marry him :0)”
